Infrastructure Support Specialist

Position Overview:

Your Main Responsibilities Will Include: Respond to customer inquiries via email, and live chat in a timely and professional manner. Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve basic technical issues. Escalate complex issues to Level Two support or relevant departments.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Background in virtualization (Hyper-V, VMWare, Failover clustering)
  • Proficiency with Office 365 and Microsoft Exchange
  • ITIL Foundation, ServiceNOW, Asset Management (CMDB) knowledge

Responsibilities

  1. Monitor Linux and Windows-based systems. Perform essential network administration and troubleshooting tasks.
  2. Work autonomously and demonstrate a high level of self-direction in handling complex tasks effectively.
  3. Offer technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers, sharing best practices and promoting a culture of continuous learning.
  4. Troubleshoot and provide technical support for Linux and Windows-based systems.
  5. Write scripts using PowerShell and Bash for automation and other tasks as needed.
  6. Ensure adherence to ITIL standards and best practices for infrastructure support.
  7. Maintain and update technical documentation for infrastructure systems.

Requirements

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  2. Minimum of 3 years of experience in Infrastructure Support Engineering
  3. Expertise in monitoring of Linux and Windows-based systems, practical admin experience with Prometheus and Grafana is an advantage
  4. Proficiency with administering patching and software deployment areas.
  5. Strong scripting skills with PowerShell and Bash.
  6. Expertise in Windows and Linux Administering
  7. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, adept at collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  8. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, capable of diagnosing and resolving complex technical issues promptly.
  9. Proven track record of successfully managing multiple projects concurrently and consistently delivering high-quality results within tight deadlines.
  10. Good verbal and written skills in English at a B2+ level
